Itzpapalotl (Obsidian Butterfly) Earth goddess of war and sacrifice by obsidian knife, she is identified with the bat and the tzitzimime (star “demons” that devoured people during the solar eclipses). Itzpapalotl is a fearsome deity.

Obsidian Butterfly, I love this name, I am interested in Obsidian. Because where I am from is near Crater Lake, Oregon and there is alot of Obsidian. My tribe used to make weapon's with this stuff, knives and spear heads. I am happy to see they are almost and kinda similiar to our Tribe maybe more than I know????
